Finished Making God's Mischief this afternoon. Fun read by Glenn Cook. Gods, black powder weapons, maniacal Arab wizards, and medieval religious crusades in a fantasy setting. Recommended.

Ah. Good to see he's starting something new. The Black Company just seemed to drag on because he didn't know how to end it.
Good thing you can read the Garrett stories independently. Good stuff.

That is the 4th book in the series.

Great series though.

Oh and Pipers was once one of the elite Arab commander, who was sent off to join the enemy and he became the leading commander.

I though the ending of Soldiers Live! was a fine ending to TBC. Alas, the publisher got greedy and contracted for 3 more tales.
no more Garrett PI
no more Instrumentalities of the Night
Cook has said in interviews that he doubts he will live long enough tp fill the contract.

no more Instrumentalities of the Night

That series is no where near the end.

Plus I would not mind seeing some more Garrett PI.
