Comet TV just ran this 1963 film,with Vincent Price And Debra Paget. I assume they'll be showing it again during August.

Q: Is this still the best Lovecraft adaptation?

I wish Corman had gotten off the Poe bandwagon long enough to give H.P. his rightful credit. But I still loved this movie and I wish Corman had tackled a few other Mythos stories.

The film is generally regarded as an adaption of "the Case of Charles Dexter Ward". I think 1991 version "The Resurrected" with Chris Sarandon is probably better.
