"I stumbled across this book last week while doing a casual search on Abebooks.com during a down moment at work. It was somewhat pricey, being posted as $50 USD USD plus $20 USD shipping but for a book promising "an historical analysis of his regiments, clothing, arms, saddlery and horses" I figured it was worth the risk. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase, even after finding it directly on the Mundo Editorial website for $30 USD USD.

The book arrived via DHL only a few days after I ordered. This was a pleasant surprise as I am used to parcels from Argentina taking several weeks to make their way north. The package was larger than I anticipated as well. When I opened it I was greeted by my second surprise – in addition to the 152 page book was a series of 6 full sized 8.5"x11" plates in their own folder. I quickly noticed the name "Beverina" on the plates. I immediately thought of the famed Argentine historian Juan Beverina, who penned numerous books on his country's 19th Century military history and has long been a favorite. Upon closer inspection I saw it was Gaston Beverina. I do not know if there is a connection but the plates are very well done and give the work a distinct feel. They are reproduced in the book as well so I took them to be an added bonus…"
