Napoleon at War 15-18-whatever mm game on Sunday at the Rat Palace Redux in Red Oak, Texas. We're playing the battle of Teugen-Hausen, 1809 campaign. This is the first game we've played with multiple divisions that is not going to be a straight up smack down. If you're interested in the battle and/or the OBs for both sides, click the link. Yeah, it's Wikipedia but I'm not taking a grade for it. LOLZ link |

I have walked the battle field of Teugen , it has not changed at all in 200 years, it was easy to see why the rolling terrain and woods played such a big part in the battle . Should be a good game . |

I also have visited the battlefield and it is as the Veteran says. It was also the first and last time I took one of my sons on a 'battlefield tour'. When we got there I began explaining what had happened only to be interrupted by his 12 year old voice piping up with 'But Dad, it's only a field!' Some things you just cannot pass on to the next generation. (He's a landscape gardener in Romania now so perhaps he can appreciate 'fields' in a way…..) |

I have had the pleasure of visiting the battlefield twice and walking it as well. You can never appreciate how the terrain impacted this fight and the decisions of the Generals without seeing it. |
