I'm about ready to do some DIY tokens for Gruntz as I await my minis being shipped and I'm curious, how many of each type is a good amount? I have a half-inch hole punch and orderd 100 adhesive epoxy glass dots to make some MAS style tokens. I'll post some pics when I'm done.

Here are the tokens types:
Waxed
Suppression
Condition Brown
Prone
Overwatch

Furthermore, are there any extra tokens you guys have used in your games that weren't provided in the rules PDF, or any tokens you have ever thought "it'd be nice to have a token for this condition?"

I use alternate activation so use a marker to show what units have activated. This would also work with card activation as well :)
I also use a counter for the commander's push move.
As to other counters you need one Condition Brown / Suppression per gruntz squad just in case. But a waxed counter per trooper. Prone and Overwatch you want about half of your troop squads.
I also use a counter for flight / wheels conversion on Mechs.

Hope that helps Matt

Thanks Matt, that all makes perfect sense. As I said, I'll post some pics when these are done, as well as the image file I created with all these templates laid out so others might make them on their own…

My supplies don't arrive until Sunday, but I'll share the token sheet I'm goign to use:

I have a half-inch hole punch that I'll use to punch these out and then mount them on the epoxy beads. They should look pretty baller when I'm done with them. The blue hex is "activated" and the gold star on green is "push move"

Updated the activation icon to be a "play" button. Seemed to fit the theme of the rest of the icons better.

So, these things turned out way better than I expected, and dare I say better than the ones you can buy…

Would you be interested in making me up some? I would be happy to pay what you think is fair and I will of course pay shipping…

tjansx09 Aug 2016 6:41 a.m. PST

I could probably do that, though I'll say it's easy to do on your own. Let me break down costs…

Depends on how many you want, but the cost for this project is minimal.

This is a great idea. Thanks for sharing.

I've printed out the token sheet on label sheets and have been putting them on scrabble tiles I got for craft projects.

Not the prettiest, but effective.
