Dear All In September the London-based Megagame Makers will be running Not Over By Christmas, a game for approximately 80 players, set in 1983. A provisional cast list can be found here link so that you can see the size and scope of the game. It's an open map game and booked up in London, so I'd like Rob to run it again up north as part of the Pennine Megagames 2017 calendar. There's quite a bit of interest in response to a survey of our mailing list, but I thought I'd solicit feedback from a wider audience and so I thought I'd tout for business. If anyone in the North or Midlands is interested just post a response and in the meantime, we are running a Korean Chosin Reservoir double blind game in October, if anyone is interested. You're gonna need a very large table. |

Not really – about 6' x 12' did us for VBCW. It may be two maps for WW3, but it's at a higher level. Units are brigades and divisions and only a limited number of players will be involved at the table, with a bunch of others in various command roles, with restrictions on when/whether they can go to look at it. |

I look forward to seeing how this plays out. Look like you all have it very well organised. I guess from the time frame that this is an Able Archer game. Good luck. |

Nukes and chemical weapons are options Dwight, although release will be at the top level of command. I'm a NATO commander in the London game and suspect the retaliation for the former will be horrific. I first listened to a BBC drama a few years back and it's not promising: link Cheers Kropotkin – this isn't one of mine, unfortunately. It does mean I get to play the first before administering and umpiring the second next year though. I still need to finish writing a renaissance Italy game by November, then an expanded VBCW game for the spring… |
