A very fast battle last night led to Prince Henry attacking and withdrawing and somehow surviving a pursuit that should have devastated his force. Still, we've all read of battles where the loser was somehow allowed to 'walk away' for lack of a concerted pursuit. Prince Charles of Lorraine obviously thought he'd done enough for the day – I can hear his detractors walking back to their billets not quite believing such a lack of resolve. Full pic heavy report here: link

Another fantastic game, James. Methinks Prince Henry was awfully lucky not to have been thoroughly pummeled in this encounter. Can't wait for the next installment! And as always, gorgeous figures. |

Prince Henry was very audacious, attacking a stronger Austrian foe. It is good luck (i.e., poor Austrian dice rolling) that allowed him to break off without further loss. Great campaign reporting and game reporting. Thanks, Jim |

Great looking – and pretty lucky for the Prussians! |
