I need some decent hardsuits… Anyone got a list on who makes them?

nazrat03 Aug 2016 6:43 a.m. PST

Rebel Miniatures has a lot of the old Starship Troopers line, including the Widowmaker and Kodiak battle suits. Those are probably your best bet. rebelminis.com/eafohogu.html

Ground Zero Games have a ton of different power armor guys, but the are slighter 25mm and could hardly be called super heavy.

jpattern203 Aug 2016 7:46 a.m. PST

I'll second the Widowmakers.

Capt Flash03 Aug 2016 8:16 a.m. PST

Yes those models from Rebel Minis are great.
Another option for even heavier suits would be 40K's Space Marine Centurions.

Bashytubits03 Aug 2016 9:58 a.m. PST

Do not leave out the Dreamforge Heavy troopers.

I am partial to the Zandris IV Pendekars myself.

Or you could use DP9 Heavy Gear suits.

I've always thought the Hobby Products Cybertech were Aces
( currently available very inexpensively from Moonraker miniatures)

I'll second the Zandris IV minis. Very nice, clean cast, limited pose-ablity for variations. Slick sci-fi, not gritty or Goth. Some might quibble on whether a human could actually fit inside/operate them as an ExoSuit, but it's toy soldiers.

That said, the old SST Widowmakers/Kodiaks from Rebel minis have a thick, thug menace that's hard to beat.

Codsticker03 Aug 2016 8:56 p.m. PST

Both the Rebel and Zandris kits look awesome.

If Zandris models apply, then Infinity TAGs and Urban War CLAUs should too. Most of them are supposed to have a pilot inside, tho some don't. They are more expensive than Zandris offerings I think, plus in the case of CLAUs the availability is a bit spotty.

Mantic has "terminator suits" for their Warpath and some heavier suit called Striders in this case:

Then there are GW Tau suits of course, you might still be able to pick up some heavy suits from McVey's suspended Sedition Wars range and finally (for now) there is some retro stuff as well, most obviously Dust 1947 SSU Steel Guard for those so inclined.

Lion in the Stars05 Aug 2016 11:50 p.m. PST

There's also some heavy power armor suits in the Infinity range:
Yan Huo

and

Azra'il

Gecko

All those minis are pictured on 40mm bases.

Capt Flash07 Aug 2016 11:55 a.m. PST

Wow I love Infinity models. Too bad there's no real love for the game in my area….

Lion in the Stars07 Aug 2016 10:17 p.m. PST

New versus box is out for Infinity, called Red Veil. Has Yu Jing (Greater China IN SPAAAACE) versus Haqqislam (Golden Age Islam, minus the believe-the-way-I-do-or-die assholes).

Includes 7 minis for each side and some paper terrain to play on. Not a bad place to start.
