Now that Wargame Vault has a DropBox option, it seems appropriate to ask: do you use DropBox? * yes * no * not any more * what's DropBox? |

Not really. I have had files sent to me where I can download them, but I have never uploaded anything. |

No no file storage system is safe If a person can hack a personal computer then a system with multiple users could be child's play. Personally I use portable storage devices to store information that I unplug when not in use. I don't know if it is any safer but I think it is |

All the time, for everything I personally do really. It's INCREDIBLY simple and works every time. I create a file on my computer, save it (it's in dropbox), by the time I walk downstairs to the laser it's been synced to the computer attached to the laser, then run the file on the laser. That being said, I have never used a feature on a site like Wargames Vault that integrates with it. |

Yes, mainly for gaming stuff. But I would never put anything in it that had really important info, like tax documents. |
Weasel | 03 Aug 2016 7:21 a.m. PST |
Yup. Subscribed too. Once or twice a week, my document folder and image folder gets backed up. Once every couple months, it also gets backed up to Google drive. My computer is my job, data backup is vital.

No. I use google drive and MS OneDrive for backups and sharing, although I have occasionally accessed files shared via Dropbox. All the static files on my blog are shared via Google. I spent ages helping my wife with iCloud synch options. Urgh. |

you don't have to "trust the cloud" but you can certainly use it for the convenience for multiple redundancies of your hobby. |

I use it but it but there are things I don't like about it. For example, somehow it is the default to upload camera pics automatically. I didn't do that myself and yet it was done. |
