I have posted photos of the Seleucid collection. The first photo shows the standard 12 elements. The remaining photos show the complete collection. link Camel riders and horse archers would make the collection ready for Magnesia 190 BC and more about that battle in a later post. Cheers, Robert |

Very nice!!! Need to get back to painting – been a month. Have 48 phalangites and 16 command and cavalry primed to allow me to convert my Classical Indians to Greco-Indians. And of course then be expanded to Seleucids. |

Gentlemen, Thank you for the kind words. After reading about the twilight period of the Seleucid Empire I decided to give the troops a "rough and ready"; no frills, no painted helmets and basic colour schemes. With the exception of the Argyraspides or silver shields the other phalanxes are line troops. Keeping the colour schemes simple reduced the time needed to complete them. In time I may add more phalanx and other cavalry appropriate for the campaigns against the Parthians and Maccabeus. At the moment the project will move toward re-fighting the Battle of Magnesia for which I have more Roman and Pergamene troops on the painting table. Cheers, Robert |
