PDF link The link above will take you to an after action story I wrote. The game is part of a series of play-tests undertaken by the Dulles Wargaming Club, in support of Britton Publishers' upcoming title, The Last Offensive. This is scenario 3 and represents IV SS Panzerkorps' second attempt to rescue the garrison trapped in Budapest. I hope you enjoy the story. |

Ben, Wow, great fight! I love the table, and your batreps are excellent. I'm really liking the subject matter, Hungary is definitely something I'll be getting to in the future. On a side note, did Battery 1 really explode from firing too quick? If so, that sucks! I'm guessing that's some sort of random event? I also recently picked up your Bourgebus Ridge and Black Watch. Keep pumping out books, they're fantastic. And negative, I haven't gotten anything done recently on Dai Do. Sorry, I've been all play and no work ;) V/R, Jack |

Jack… in Micro Melee (and Final Combat), a d100 attack roll of 100 results in the main gun being destroyed. It doesn't say exactly what happens. The gamer can use their imagination. Battery 1 was a veteran and could fire 3-rounds every phase (10-seconds). I'm sure I fired 12 shots in quick succession at the two panthers, before the barrel blew up. It was a great game that resulted in the identical outcome as the actual battle 71-years ago. Pretty cool! |
