A fun evening using this excellent set of rules ending in a close (that's my story and I'm sticking to it) victory to Neal and his Romans.

Excellent looking collection! Nice AAR. Our local group loves To the Strongest, we aren't even looking around for any other ancients rules.

Quite agree, my go to set now, fun game every time.

Nice! You are right, To the Strongest is just a superb set of rules!

Beautiful armies! I keep hearing good things about these rules, but I confess I can't get over the need for a grid on the table.

Sheepman196131 Jul 2016 1:33 p.m. PST

Don't worry about the grid, place markers of some kind, pebbles, grass tufts on circular bases, whatever. It dosn't have to be a permanent thing. Give em a go, you'll like the rules.

Nice collectable unit sizes. Subtle grids and multi based units…….great.

Missed this until today- they look great! It's been a lot of fun watching the armies come together.

Beautiful looking army. Using a grid seems strange I'll have to check out the rules

This is the only rules we currently use. You don't even really notice the grid when playing. Some mats are hardly noticeable at all. No fiddly measuring speeds up play tremendously.

Great armies!
