Comments or corrections?

Since I had free time the past couple days, I worked on squadron cards for the Lost Squadrons expansion as a favor to my fellow TMPers. But I don't own the expansion. I'm also using a dodgy photo of the cards I got from boardgamegeek. So I need your help!

I posted test images of 16 plane cards below. I am missing stats for 2 other plane cards IIRC. If you own the expansion, could you please check if stats in all the cards below are correct and post any corrections on this tread. (Some of the French planes probably have some wrong stats.) I would appreciate it. I also need the names and stats for the 2 missing planes and would appreciate those as well.

Also, do all the Allies such as French and Polish in the game fly in the Vic/Vee formation like the British, or do they have their own formations? This info would be priceless to know as well.

When I'm sure everything is correct, I will upload the final versions as PDFs for everyone to use.

Thanks in advance for all your help! I hope all these images in the thread don't upset anyone.

CPBelt, thanxabigbunch for going to this trouble. The new squadron cards are everything I dreamed of.

I checked the new cards vs. the cards from Lost Squadrons and found several errors. I have given corrected values from LS:

Fairy Fulmar, Half Roll 8

Fokker T.V, Bomb 4

M.S. 406, Maneuver Loaded 1

D.520, Level Speed 6, Armament 2F

I also thought it odd that the picture of the H75 A-4 carries Vichy stripes. It's not an error, but odd for the Blitzkrieg era.

The two missing planes are one French and one Dutch:

Liore et Olivier LeO 451b Medium Bomber
Level Speed 5
Climb Speed 1
Climb Rate 2
Dive Speed 7
Turn 5
Slip 4
Roll n/a
Half Loop n/a
Armament 1R
Damage 11
Size Modifier 5
Maneuver Unloaded 2
Maneuver Loaded -1
Bomb Factor 9
Brake Factor 1
Point Value 18

Fokker G.1a Fighter
Level Speed 5
Climb Speed 2
Climb Rate 1
Dive Speed 6
Turn 2
Slip 3
Roll 6
Half Loop 4
Armament 2F, 1R d6
Damage 5
Size Modifier 2
Maneuver Unloaded 5
Maneuver Loaded 2
Bomb Factor 2
Brake Factor 2
Point Value 9

With regard to Polish, Dutch and French formations, my understanding is that every air force in the world used three-plane formations until the Luftwaffe introduced the four-plane schwarme, which was adopted eventually by all air forces, at different times, depending on combat experience and adaptability.

Hey CPBelt, thanks for doing this. I was on vacation and didn't see your request for this until last night. It looks like zippy gave you the rest of the data you needed, but I do have this set and if you need anything else, please let me know and I'll look it up.

All of the above air forces would have flown in three plane formations. Vichy units continued to do so until the collapse of the regime.

Hey, guys, thanks for all the help. I'll hopefully work some more on these today or this week. I'll keep you posted.

I was having a hard time finding a drawing for the H75. I'll see if I can find one without the Vichy stripes. I do love that scheme though! :-)

Update: Ok, I changed the stats and the Hawk image. Work is progressing. :-)

Henh. I also like the Vichy stripes color scheme. I'm painting some up to spar with the US Navy in Operation Torch. Play ball!

Thanks for doing this work. BTW, you can get most of these aircraft in 1/300th scale from luftwaffe1946.com

They specifically sculpted some of the Dutch aircraft to support Lost Squadrons. Look for more and re-sculpted Polish aircraft in the near future.

We're running 2 Poland 1939 scenarios at Fall In.
