Well after my previous attempts at wargaming the American Revolution all stalled, I sold of 10mm, 15mm and 28mm figures I had, I have been bitten by the bug again!! The previous attempts all stalled as I was all over the place with them just buying for the sake of buying. I am now focussed and will e starting afresh and revigorated. This time I am going to stay on track and build up my units properly, thats the plan anyway!! I am going 28mm but this time I am going to use the excellent "Fife and Drum" figures, they really are so nice that it was a no brainer for me. Well anyway here we go again!!!

A wonderful choice for period, scale and manufacturer.

Here are my suggestions for a "logical" approach.
The thread seems to have some popularity, I modestly suggest.

But you've already failed at 28mm size/scale. You need to try a different one.

6mm, 1/72, 40mm (Trident or Front Rank) or 54mm (ATKM or plastics).

WS, that was a great post and has stood the test of time. I am following many of your suggestions. I selected 28mm Foundry and Battle Honours, with a sprinkling of others for seasoning. Thanks for posting the link again.

jambo1 -- you have chosen wisely -- Fife & Drum are really nice figures.

Winston's scheme is a good one. I am kinda sorta doing it in 15mm

Winstons plan is a great one to follow and one I will indeed be following. I thought about a new scale but it was more the look of the F&D figures that made me want to do it again in 28mm, they really look very nice.

Just got my first couple of test packs, militia, and they are lovely, very happy!! I have some Hessians ordered and looking forward to getting them. Glad I have gone for F&D.

More militia ordered and first batch of continental infantry ordered, all systems are go!!
