"Napoleon in Egypt - resources" Topic

I have an interest in Strelets 1/72 Napoleon in Egypt figures; are there any good uniform resources for the French and British armies' uniforms and organization? Any decent Ospreys? Thanks so much.

"Napoleon's Egyptian Campaigns, 1798-1801," by Michael Barthorp (London: Osprey Publishing, 1978). One of the better titles among the early Osprey Men-at-Arms Series.

Philip Haythornthwaite's "Uniforms of the French Revolutionary Wars, 1789-1802 (Poole, Dorset: Blandford Press, 1981) also has several pages of plates pertaining to the Egyptian Campaign.

There's a Yahoo group called "Demi-brigades in the desert" which is focussed on the campaign. The files have uniform info (not illustrations tho).

For uniforms it is difficult there recent research has broucht up immense detail contradicting a lot of earlier assumptions – especially at the colours of uniforms.

The foremost researcher of the Armée d'Orient – Yves Martin found the woolen colour examples in Kleber's correspondance – filled in Vincenes, like 4e légère – the green is almost kahki, or 88e de bataille – more like a deep rose red than anything else.

So far I don't know any publication of him where those woolen colours are discussed
