That is pretty darn cool, and inspiring. I think I've got some 6mm French skirmishers lying around, I might give this a try.

How big was the map you played on?

In one of his earlier posts on his project he says he's on a 30cm x 30cm board, using a different set of measuring sticks too, I think.

Yes, It is 30cm x 30 cm board, using sticks of 2.5, 4 and 6cm.
