"Just in case you have missed this, Konflikt '47 is coming out in August. This is a new collaboration between Warlord Games, Osprey Publishing and Clockwork Goblin, bringing an alternative World War II setting to the tabletop, based on the popular Bolt Action rules. I personally really like this setting, and it's been done several times in the past, with mixed success. Secrets of the Third Reich from Westwind Productions has proven to be very popular over the years (I'm a big fan of the Incursion boardgame especially) but other games such as Dust Tactics, despite the support of a large company (Fantasy Flight Games in that instance), have potentially failed to find a market…" link link Main page link Amicalement Armand |

Zombies in miniature? Yeah, I guess. Whatever floats your boat. (Or re-floats it, as the case may be.) Even GHQ, after their "Wehrmacht 1947" line, has now put zombies on their release schedule for the coming year. Wuhtevr… -Mark (aka: Mk 1) |

What's wrong with a simple game where you can fight an extended WWII with the weapons that were coming on line then, why zombies? |

Because – sadly – everything's better with zombies. Apparently… No, I don't really get ot either. The closest I've come to a satisfactory answer (for me, anyway) is that you get to shoot people with zero guilt as they are already dead so you're just doing them a favour. Weird WW2 – like this – has another advantage: the zombies are nazzies! So you get more guilt free carnage That's the best I've got! John T |

I've always liked the super science element of WWWII, but why do they have to keep introducing zombies and supernatural elements? Just use the super weapons and ignore the zombies I say. I like the look of the American walkers in this. |

In the DP9 setting, the zombies are a product of superscience. Still dead, but under some control mechanism. |

I've always thought that if you wanted to add zombies into a World War mix, the Great War would be more appropriate…both from a running out of manpower and the whole stumbling forward into machine guns thing.. and yes I know that WWI tactics were more sophisticated than that in real life… |

Like your thinking Bindon. …..but,..but…but…if we have post wwI Germans they won't have groovy blue arctic pea dot camo..or grav- Panthers…or all those atgms or Tiger III's….or night fighting Panther IIs or all those other fabbo weapons that the Germans would have developed by 47….they would! I know they would! I saw a YouTube video that said so… |
