Found a new bus at Dollar Tree, which is made by Matchbox, pretty modern looking, and appears to me it can work for 12mm – 15mm figs, depending upon how liberal you are with scale. Perhaps better with the larger figs, but buses can be pretty large.

There are some other decent vehicles too, e.g. a cargo truck with an open top, the airport service vehicle I've shown and mentioned above, and a few others as well.

There's even a forklift too. Need to go back for that.

Looks suitably futuristic enough for me to use at the local spaceport, but can be used for modern and near future tables too.

Also, picked up a hardback, SciFi book as well, by Steven Kent, called "The Clone Redemption".

Haven't read it, so don't know if it is any good, but for the price of a candy bar, should be good, cheap entertainment.

U.A. Clone Marines are tasked with defending Earth, as aliens are destroying the last of the few remaining habitable planets.

Looks like it may have some space battles as well as ground battle accounts in it.

Also of note, there was a book on US Special Forces there, as well as a book on Hezbollah's 30 year war with Israel. Can't recall the titles, but may have to check those out as well.

Usually cheaper at Wal-mart, but the other toy car brands at Dollar Tree are good value. I saw a Pepsi truck there, too.

Me too, since it was nominated for Best SF Military Book here. But it's a late one in the series.

Only by a few cents her, e.g. 1 or 3 cents, and Walmart is usually picked clean by the collectors, of the good stuff.

Sadly, not Pepsi trucks here. Will have to keep an eye out for that one. There will be Pepsi in the future, at least on my worlds.

Was wondering if it was part of a series, given the title.

Didn't check the reviews, but thought about it, then just decided to take the plunge, since I haven't had a good, Summertime Sci-Fi novel in quite a few years.

Glad to hear it has received the nomination.

Hey, those work right on! I have a few. You can't have a city board without buses, taxis, garbage trucks, food trucks, police and so on.

Sadly, no Pepsi trucks here.

I went back today, the Pepsi truck was gone. frown

But I did pick up a Matchbox Gator Raider from the MBX Explorers range! Now I'm trying to imagine what scale figures I can put into the empty chairs…
