So I am back having not hotten any answer about my question Can an ATGM unit or a FO "Shoot and Scoot" I am Not Interested in speculation about what Really Happens nor any Homebrew fixes, only the Official Answer Perhaps I shoud email a TY designer or developer The only thing the rules state is the Skill Test and not anything regarding the wespon type So, at the mext TY game at Stratigcon I shall Shoot and Scoot my FO and ATGM unless stopped by the GM or I get that official answer/ruling And if no answer or stoppage then this is a big hole in the rules to take advsntage |

Ask on the TY Forum. The rules writer frequents there. An ATGM can't, since the controller needs to guide the missile to the target. Many can though, set up their launchers from 25m – 100m away from the controller, to provide at least some cover for the people controlling them. I assume there may now be some fire-and-forget missiles, but imagine those are still rare, and expensive. As mentioned previously by me for the FOO, it doesn't really work that way, since the person needs to direct the fire and adjust it on target, as the rounds land. The one exception to that I can think of is for pre-registered artillery points for the defense. An FOO could do that with those, since the guns are already ranged in and on target for those locations. |

The FOO isn't shooting, they are ranging in. Shoot n scoot on applies to stationary units that fired during the shooting step. Pretty sure its explicitly stated that in the rules. |

Try this: type up the "shoot & scoot" rule in a post, followed by whatever special rules govern FOO spotting and ATGMs. Then explain why you think the shoot & scoot rule applies to them, and see what people say in response. |

Rules say yes. Damned ITVs were using it to tear through my motor rifle company last weekend. |
