Only if you're in the UK. They're not available on the US store unless you want to clear your browser cookies & loose any information for other sites. Are they only doing the New Who, or any of the original Whos? |

Last year we announced that Warlord Games have secured the licence to produce a miniatures game based on the BBC's enormously popular TV series, Doctor Who. Since then we've been tirelessly researching episodes both new and old, sculpting miniatures and working back and forth with the BBC to ensure the results are completely authentic. The licence covers not just the latest series of Doctor Who but encompasses all of the Doctors, their companions and their foes, spanning more than fifty years – so look out for long scarves and jelly babies as well as sonic sunglasses! We are pleased to present the first releases available for pre-order. The models are high quality pewter castings, officially approved by the BBC. Our forthcoming range will also include plastic Daleks, Cybermen and Unit troopers, as well as many more pewter figures. |

Not impressed by the 5 miniatures shown. That doesn't look like David Tennant at all. |

Nope, doesn't look like Tennant at all. Rest are nice enough. So the character figures will be metal, and the Daleks etc will be plastic? Sounds good. |

For the love of Davros, this is looking as attractive as a spiral staircase in Skaro city. The 12th Doctor set doesn't even come with shots of the figures, the sculpts for the 10th and company are static and uninspiring, and who exactly are they supposed to be battling through time and space against? No simultaneous release of a box of baddies. Warlord could have emptied my bank account if they'd released figures in a timely manner, and not dragged their heels with the plastic releases. Imagine the excitement if there was a boxed game with a swag of plastics; UNIT vs Cybermen, for example. Doctor Who is still one of the hottest SF franchises on the market. Warlord should have shoved Gates of Antares on the backburner and gone all ahead full on this as soon as BBC Worldwide said yes. Rant over. Only ranting because I care. |

Macross', it was a fine rant crafted with care. Be proud. But I do agree with you. You've got to have adversaries. Personally I want to see all the many iterations of Daleks and Cybermen. I want the Silurians – they'd be useful in many other games. And I want the little guys whom most have forgotten like the Yeti (both versions), Warmachines… Ooh, the Robomen from the second Dr.Who film (or was it the first? Memory fades) they'd have use in so many ways. |

Thank you, Narratio, although I fear I am merely throwing into the wind… :( Second film fyi, but the two 60's films are a separate licence, nothing to do with BBC Worldwide, unfortunately. Warlord can, however, do the 'original' Robomen from the serial 'Dalek Invasion of Earth' who are more Zombie-like rather than automatons in vinyl. I wonder if they have to negotiate separately with Terry Nation's estate for producing Daleks in miniature? Never mind the Yeti, let's see some real monsters – Chumblies!!

Really torn about this. I'm a big Dr Who fan and as a wargamer I feel duty bound to buy the figures and game. However, I've got every BTD figure and every not Who related figure that Heresy & Crooked Dice produced. Do I need more plastic Daleks? Probably not and I hate painting spots. Plastic Cybermen & Sontarrans would be great though, as would newer versions of the 1st, 2nd (BTDs is not a good likeness), 5th, 6th (only one figure!) & 7th would be good. I'd buy the 12th Doctor set, but really need to see a picture first. |
