Well, I am gonna keep posting gallery stuff on the gallery board until someone kicks me out of here;) I am on a roll here, did this one today. Obviously another ADC, this time the French general Desnouettes figure has gotten the head of a French guard officer. A little stiff in the neck, but it works, maybe.. Next up is an officer of the mamelukes. I am using the wonderfull Courcelle prints for reference. Thx for looking! Dr J

Yeah. Don't sell yourself short. He's a great figure. |

Wonderful custom conversion, Dr Jekyll! Are you pinning the head to the torso? If so, what diameter pins? I need to do the same for some custom Spanish cavalry. Thanks, Jeff |

I like the conversion, very well done. Any chance of converting some figures to create Lithuanian Tartars? |

Thank you so much for the nice comments!! Compliments are always motivating:) jhancock: I use a regular small paperclip that I just cut in to about 3-5mm long peices using a small wire cutter. i have a hand drill that I use to drill a small hole in the neck and head. The drillhead is the same diameter as the paperclipp so it works perfectly. I am not sureof the diameter of neither drillhead nor papaerclip I am afraid.. I just started using a straight blade knife(compilments of deadheads advice;) and it works much better for cutting than any saw blade. deadhead: the mameluke officer is from a Courcelle print. I know that you have a soft spot for mamelukes, so I will try not to dissapoint you too much;) 15mm: I am still waiting for someone to sculpt the Lithuanian tartars as well as French Eclaireur lancers in the Roulleau shako. I have thought about how to make my own version of them, but I am unsure of how to do it with what is available from the AB range. Main problem with the tartars is to find something that resembles their unusual headgear. If you have any ideas pleas share them! Cheers! Dr J |
