Officers said the militants, holed up in a building in Kalyanpur on the outskirts of the capital Dhaka, opened fire on the police as they tried to enter. The militants, who shouted 'Allahu akbar' or 'God is greatest' as they battled police, were believed to be members of the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), a banned group that has pledged allegiance to Islamic State…"

Bangladesh supposed to be muslim extremist puzzle me a little…i know and talk with some of them and their relaxed attitude versus Islam and versus a Jihad appeal is evident…they seem to be more nationalist (which i can understand and accept in a certain proportion) and show some little resentment toward the explotation of their people by Western entrepreneurs…which could be understandable.. |
