Wow, awesome photos, thanks for posting! Love the WWI game with the French and Germans, and what scale were those amazing 82nd Airborne figures?! …and Oddball's own Sherman, complete with the blaring speakers?!?! It looks to me like the con was at least a it of a visual feast. |

As usual, Mitch does a fantastic job. If I were king of HMGS, I'd pay him for his time and the right to use those photos on a webpage and wherever else it might help. Great job, Mitch. |

Schogun, I use a Canon G11 on a tabletop tripod with a cable release. I set the ISO to 400 and allow long exposures. The articulated screen, not available on current Canon G-series models, aids framing and really saves my back. Also the G11 allows me to shoot RAW format, which I prefer for the greater scope of post processing you can do. But I've gotten to the point that I only need to do a little color correcting and some sharpening in Adobe Lightroom – most of the work is done in framing and taking the shot. The Sherman and Paratroops were 60mm if I am remembering correctly. Easily one of the best looking, if not the best looking, game I've ever photographed. HG, thanks! I do contract photography and layout work so I can send you my rates. But Historicon already gets to use my photos in posters, postcards, and the program, and some got used on the website recently. For free as my contribution to the cause. And no, Skipper, I don't do much gaming any more, but between the picture taking and socializing with old friends, the cons are still a blast. |

Thanks Mitch, that's quite informative. Love to hear about the positive experiences in the hobby these days. There's a little too much emphasis on the gloom and doom lately. Thanks for the glorious pics! |
