Redoubt?

Yeah, it's definitely the old Redoubt set – not sure if they still make it though.

Thanks.

Britannia used to make one too, IIRC, and I think Old Glory do as well.

Yeah, the Britannia one's a fair bit smaller, but currently available and rather nice:

Thanks again guys. The story is, I picked up the Redoubt boat and crew at the Nashcon flea market, fully painted, but not assembled. I turned the pieces (there's like 40 parts) around and around, trying to figure out how to put it together. Today I got the bright idea of googling various combinations of '28mm', 'napoleonic', 'Royal Navy' and 'landing' until I could turn up a catalog listing that might show the set assembled. Never found a catalog, but did fortunately turn up the photo I linked to. That met the need. The superglue is drying this minute. But I still wanted to know who made the dang thing.

I doubt I'll ever buy another such. It's a display piece, it prolly won't ever see action in a game. But, if I run across another one, already painted up, practically for free at a flea market…then I might have to.

You know that now that you have it, you HAVE TO come up with a scenario. Even if it involves buying $250 USD worth of French and British Napoleonic figures.
Email me. I have a ton of Hinchliffe. grin

Yes, nice find.

Nashcon flea market was good for buying this year. I brought a half car load myself and didn't sell a thing. I was priced too high for the market. I filled up the other half of the car with plunder. Got bargains from the dealers too.

With crew and oars assembled, that boat is so big it takes up half my table. It's bigger than some of my old Greenfield sailing ships. I guess I'll figure out a way to play with it.

Well, with a boat based crew you will inevitably need landed British RN troops so I will point you to my 28mm range: BG-NBR020-29 plus some Naval ship crews NBR030-34.
