If anyone is interested in doing the Old West in 6mm then I would highly recommend taking a look at a new line of buildings that Leven Miniatures has just released. I just received mine and the buildings are excellent. There are over 17 different types of buildings in the range. Beautiful detail. I am thinking of mounting mine on a 2'x2' board with additional terrain. |

Just curious… how do you use Old West buildings in 6mm? I think of 6mm as a scale for putting lots of figures on a base. I can't think of a conflict where you would use Old West buildings with a mass of 6mm figures. |

Actually there are a few of us that do skirmish in 6mm. I am getting figures from Irregular to do just that. Think of what it would cost to have a 17 building town of saloons, hotels, commercial buildings, barns ect. plus figures in 28mm. Here, a lot cheaper and again, you can have a real sized town set up. |

My friend has painted up the leven stuff on his blog here: ablogofwar.blogspot.co.uk and is also using the irregular stuff for his 6mm skirmish games |

Looks good, jeans. And why not skirmish in 6 mm? I have far too many 15 mm to switch but if I didn't I'd sure be tempted. I will have to visit to see if they do SYW buildings – the one period still tempting me but if I go down that road it will be in a smaller scale. |
