A nice looking battle. Thanks for sharing your pics and report. I've been having withdrawal symptoms for a few days now, since there haven't been many of late. |

Dammit, first local TY event and I'm likely to be stuck in Manila. |

Thanks all for the kind comments. What is comp. standard for terrain? Well that seems to be the question du jour at the moment on the TY Forum. On the current poll about 90% claim that they use no denser terrain than for FOW, ie WW2. I would have thought that there would have been some increased urbanisation in the intervening 40 years though, even in Bavaria. |

Table terrain density is an on going drama. Back in the day when I ran FoW tournaments I tended to look up aerial pics of combat zones and/or historical AAR maps and replicate those. The best rule of thumb is whether the table layout is conducive to a game being finished in under 2.5 hours. Avoid too much terrain on the edges as well, that can make defend scenarios one sided. |

Fower Wun Seven, your paint jobs are always great. RE: Battlefield terrain. IF the Cold WARS turn hot, due to the ever increasing population, the amount of uninhabitetd area, is going to be small at best. Id say all but a very few battles are going to be urban or very near too urban areas. Now I have to actually ck out yoru Batrep. ) I went, I looked..I LOVED It. You always seem to run a great game. "Wouldnt you know a "Frogfoot" has to show up just when he needed too." Im starting to like 4x6 'game areas' on a 4x8 table, it leaves extra room for players to set reinforcements, "casualties" etc. 4-1-7 if Im not mistaken, your 'burning' markers are from Litko, am I right? They look great for this sclae. |

Thanks PT Gamer – yes I like to play on a big as table as possible, and being blessed to live in Australia that can get pretty big! However just at the moment I am in 'pre competition' mode so confining myself to the standard 6x4! your 'burning' markers are from Litko TARGET! |
