I tried my hand at roadway construction using the outdoor carpet material I found at the local home-improvement store. They turned out pretty good, and the material is cheap enough that you can afford to make special-use pieces if you need them Take a look link |

A very good idea, and well executed. Are the pieces flexible once dry, to be able to drape up and over gaming hills? Mike |

I have got to get by my local Lowe's and see if they have any of this matting. I hope so. Jim |

Used to make/sell DBA mats 30 years ago out of indoor/outdoor carpet (green and desert), my then wife did the edging. |

myxemail, Yes they will flex and fold, the road sections actually lay flatter because of the weight of the sand. The material has a noticeable curve to it from being rolled but rolling it the other way seems to solve that. It is pretty tough stuff and can handle some very rough handling. The previous two posts are here link and here link The stuff is called Eco Rug from Lowes and Home Depot in the metro Detroit area, about twenty bucks a roll |
