Thanks for the post. Looks like great fun! I must play more WoW. But I have found if I play more than 2 planes I get hopelessly confused and make one plane do what I wanted the other to do, and vise-versa. 6 player dogfights are great fun, and the games are short enough that you don't have to wait too long if you get shot down early in the game. Yes, as I normally play alongside and against solo system run planes, I tend to threaten other players who get shot down with having to take on one of the solo run planes! It does tend to keep everyone playing. To see this in action have a look at this post: link

Still have not tried the solo rules, but my wife and I go at it once or twice a week for a few games. Just got a Gotha and have another big bomber on the way so will be interesting to see how those go.
