I cant remember the US distributor, but I thought about looking for a UK place with the pound the way it is. Where would you recommend?

AFAIK, Gripping Beast does not have a distributor in the US (though some retailers may carry items). I recommend ordering from them directly--the service is good (I generally get my orders within two weeks or less). grippingbeast.co.uk |

Northstar is great, I've ordered from them direct several times. link Brigade is a good US stockist. link But compare prices (including shipping). I was about to order some stuff from the UK, but realized even with the low pound, I was only saving a couple bucks, in which case I'd rater order from the US distributor so as to get my stuff sooner! |

Direct from Gripping Beast. Noble Knight -- not so much. I went to their store and purchased 2 boxes of Breton. Both boxes of Breton had no shields. They had to contact someone from Gripping Beast to send me the shields. It was resolved in the end, but annoying. I should have just ordered directly. I will say that it was good customer service that Noble Knight contacted GB instead of just saying for me to do it myself. Games Plus -- I have been told too many times "they get in their product whenever they get their product and they get what ever their distributor has." Okay. Yes, please don't bother to ask if I would like to place an order. I'm so use to their response that I don't even ask to place an order any more. Simply, order direct from Gripping Beast. |

Noble Knight -- not so much. I went to their store and purchased 2 boxes of Breton. Both boxes of Breton had no shields. Sounds like manufacturer error, which could happen with any distributor. I had a similar problem at NK (factory mislabeled packs), but it was quickly resolved with very quick and friendly correspondence. And their shipping is always reasonable. Something GB's "rest of the world 25%" most definitely is not. |

@The Beast Rampant. Yes, you are correct the missing shields from 2 Breton boxes are a manufacturer issue. The email merry-go-round was the annoyance for me. I agree about the "rest of the world…" high shipping cost. I wish Gripping Beast has a policy of purchase at least XXX amount and get shipping free or reduced. Perry Miniatures is 200 GBP and that policy helps to keep me ordering direct from them. @Shakespear. Although Games Plus in Chicago, Illinois does not have an on-line store that I know of, you can just call and purchase SAGA products already in stock and they will ship it to you. I don't know if you will have to pay the Cook County tax(slightly on the high side). They can then ship it to you, but I'm sorry I don't know their shipping policy(cost). I have ordered from FRP and AoW(no longer exist) as well in the past, but overall, I mainly order direct from Gripping Beast unless my FLGS has it in stock. |
