Historic Imagination is proud to announce the latest releases in our growing line of scenario books and gaming aids.
First, Brave Hearts Trembled: Regimental Wargame Scenarios for the Battle of Antietam provides eight scenarios for refighting the Antietam in miniature. For easy compatibility with most of the miniature rules sets on the market today, the book provides unit strengths in increments of 20, 30, 40, 50, and 100 soldiers per figure/stand. Game times are given in 10, 15, and 20 minute turns. Scenarios include:
Skirmish in the East Woods
Dawn in The Cornfield
Sedgwick Ambushed!
Bloody Lane
Sixth Corps at Dunker Church
The Boonsboro Pike
Burnside's Bridge
Ninth Corps Attacks
Each scenario contains multiple color and period photographs to help the gamer better understand the terrain and landscape, photos of the generals and personalities involved, and two detailed colored maps for setting up the game table.
Also included is a complete order of battle for both sides.
Brave Hearts Trembled can be purchased in book form from Amazon.com, as well as any bookstore with the use of its ISBN number.

Along with Brave Hearts Trembled, Historic Imagination is releasing a new tool to help gamers design their own scenarios for the Battle of Antietam. Antietam Wargame Maps includes 50 detailed maps of the Antietam battlefield in three different scales: the popular 25 and 50 yards per inch, and a compromise 33 yards per inch. Following the maps is a detailed Order of Battle for each side, so that designers can decide which units to represent on the table, and their appropriate strengths. To finish the book, 42 pictures of the period and modern battlefield give the game designer a look at what how the battlefield appears, and how it can affect game design and representation. Everything a game designer will need to create their own scenarios for the Battle of Antietam!
This book is only available as a downloadable pdf exclusively at Wargame Vault.

As an added bonus, I'm looking to sell my proof book copies at near cost. I have 2 copies of Brave Hearts Trembled that I'll sell for $20 USD each total, including shipping. These are as-is. So they do contain some typos and layout errors. However, these are nothing that interfere or detract from the scenarios. All of the order of battle strengths and morale listings are unaffected. The first two people that private message me here at TMP can have them. First come, first serve. You will have to pay by PayPal. We will arrange payment in the private message. I'll then send a note here saying they are gone.
What the heck, I still have 3 proof copies of Summer Storm/Gettysburg. I know its 6 months late, but same price ($20, which is a steal) and same deal, as-is. I don't need them and just want to find them good homes.
I hope you enjoy!
