Started an ARVN squad after reading Ambush Valley. Their first mission is found here. I rolled up some interesting back stories for all of the characters this time. found here:

Enjoy

Great stuff, as always, Joe. It's really funny, I just finished up some ARVN myself! I recognize yours as Peter Pig, but what make are the VC?

Pretty cool fight, and you got super lucky getting out with no casualties, beating back an ambush initiated by IED! I'm never that lucky ;)

Jack

Jack,
VC are a mix of PP and early Flashpoint. We did get very lucky.
Am enjoying your Royal Marines.

Joe,

Flashpoint, gotcha. I love their minis, wish they were here in the States, I'd probably have a million!

Glad you like the Royals Marines, I'm about to finish up their first tour in Afghanistan. Sure could use 'Grunts Forward' ;)

And I look forward to your next ARVN fight; I may start something with mine, maybe Laos or the Easter Offensive. I really want to do an Army leg platoon, probably based on the movie 'Platoon.'

V/R,
Jack

Hey JJ – You may not be aware, but Scale Creep carries much of the Flashpoint range:

Nice AAR.
"be careful'.. a back story can take off on you, and build a life of its own. Good Luck with ours.

I think it would be great (if I could find some 1/100) 2 1/2 toners, to try and build some 'Gun Trucks' for Nam convoy scenarios.

Sgt RV29 Jul 2016 6:11 a.m. PST

Old Glory has some nice gun trucks.

Thanks all.
Part Time, that is the whole point of Platoon Forward and Grunt' Forward; to provide a back story that develops over time. To me the story is at least as important as the battle. That said I play 90% solo so it is easy to do.
Agree some gun trucks will be a must have. Can then do US or ARVN convoys. Thanks Sgt- will probably get them from OG.
Jack,
Grunt's Forward is finished! Just going to add a cover and maybe some more pics.

Cheers

Joe
