Perry Miniatures has a complete range for Yorktown, minus the Volontaires de St Simon (possibly made up from Colonial units). The range includes gunners in fatigue dress, with forage caps and waistcoats, rather than the tricornes and full length coats normally portrayed; and both types of Lauzun Legion cavalry.
Perry do make the earlier uniform you refer to – codes 149 to 152 inclusive – listed as "in the 1776 coats".
The Front Rank AWI range is one of their earliest, and thus not as "tall" as modern 28mm ranges.
Foundry do make some lovely hussar figures, don't they? Either they or Front Rank – maybe even both – also have some lovely dismounted figures in mirlitons (wrong for officers, but great for ORs). You might also like to look at Eureka's WAS Saxon hussar range, which includes dismounted figures skirmishing and horse holders, as well as mounted guys. With a bit of imagination, their French Revolutionary hussars can also be fitted in – especially the chap in the water fountain vignette, knocking out his pipe* on his boot.
[* You should probably be careful typing that into a search engine as well.]
If Old Glory don't make the Colonial French, I can't think of anyone else who might. Alan P has promised them for a while now, but says he won't be doing anything more on AWI for a while yet.
