We played using Regimental Fire and Fury. I like the scale, one stand of three figures represents 40 men, and that stands are removed to show the loss of strength in a unit. We use casualty markers to replace lost stands, so we can see where the action was the hottest. It's simple enough that the kids pick it up fairly quickly, and it gives the feel of an ACW battle.

What a great teaching tool. It would be interesting to see how a group might handle Bull Run.
