hi team,

is anybody interested in a comprehensive sci-fi rules/ RPG game system? looking to redo a set i compiled 25 years ago. it has planet exploration. first contact, campaign possibilities with world income. i think a better combat
system with few administrative tasks. i did have it play tested a long time ago. the results were good. due to work i shelved it. if anybody remembers it. it is called T.H.U.D.

JUST POST YOUR THOUGHTS AND LET ME KNOW. WILL BE FINISHED REWRITE BY END OF SEPTEMBER.

thank you for your interests.

Sounds good to me. I used to play FASA Trek, but I don't remember too many rules on first contact or designing alien cultures. GMs had a free rein on detailing them, but there weren't many ideas on how to design them.

Solo play, eh? Color me VERY interested.

Are you building a contact list or will you just keep us posted here?

Was just thinking that I needed something to replace my lost Star Probe/Star Empires books from the 70's. :-)

Solo-play and exploration sound good to me. Alien first contact is a little lower on the list, but still good to have. So I'm interested.

Exploration is one of my favourite aspects of sci fi, and it gets virtually ignored by most systems.

'Scout service' was always my preferred career path in Traveller!

Just curious, do you need any low level programming support for your project? I like to make little javascript 'web toys' like language and maps generators. If you have an need for something like that, I wouldn't mind lending a hand to help.

If you're curious, here's a random sampling of things that I have posted.

Did anything ever happen with these rules?
