Wargame Vault is having a summer sale, and the Birds of Prey series is part of it, so I was wondering if anyone had any comments on the scenarios that come in the various packages, and if they're useful enough to use with other rules (CY6 YA, C21 Air War, Mach Speed Hunters)? I'm mainly interested in more modern, theoretical stuff as I have some good books already for historical Korea, Vietnam, India-Pakistan, the the Middle East scenarios.

Thanks in advance.

Well, they're very well-written and challenging. You do need the game scale information if you want to convert them. BoP is more detailed than most games, so the scenarios list which other aircraft each aircraft has sight of, radar contacts, radar lock-ons, etc.

Note that scenario balance may be thrown off if you convert them to a system with less accurate aircraft data or a simplistic flight model. (BoP's data is as accurate as you can get right now--the information on loads and list of users are more accurate than Jane's, for example.)
