I have cheap resin tables so would not be in the running for this, but would get one if I was not already set.

Hmmm, $15 USD for swag?

$175 USD for ONE folding 4' x 6' table via a kickstarter, that may never provide anything?

I bought 2 x 2.5' x 6' folding tables at the local store, when they were in stock (usually around Thanksgiving to Christmas, and a little before). Cost was around $30 USD – $35 USD each, IIRC, a few years back.

They have metal legs, and very durable, plastic tops, and fold in half, so 2.5' x 3'. and about 6" thick when folded, IIRC.

So, for about $70 USD, or so, I have a tabletop gaming surface that's 25% larger, for less than half the price of the kickstarter.

Yeah, 2.5 x 6 folders at Walmart $32 USD each.

Yeah, this seems crazy. Foldable gaming tables are available everywhere and fairly cheap. I bought 4 and have all the surface I could ever want for about $120. USD

I bought nine 2x4 tables 20 years ago. That's up to three 4x6 tables, but really a 6x12 for 30mm and 54mm games in the garage in good weather or a 4x4 in the guest bedroom for winter.

Thirty quid. I have three and they are impressive: strong, a little heavy, maybe (14kg a piece) but just the job.

They are about 150mm thick when folded in half.

I really don't need anything else, to be honest.

Commented on this over on Facebook – seems we have people solving problems that do not exist, for a premium no less.

I think they actually took a picture of this one:

and are planning to make it 4'X6'….

I found old folding leg struts that someone was giving away at a 'free garbage' day some years ago, two sets of them. Cleaned and painted them, fished out some screws, and bought two press board table tops at the lumber yard. I now have two sturdy gaming/craft tables that are laid up in the garage when not in use. Total cost was less than $60. USD I now use the tables to move stuff in my own garage sales too. What goes around comes around!
