I've updated my blog with an AAR of a modern naval game we played at my local wargames club using my own set of rules "Naval Command".

The game involved a British carrier battlegroup squaring off against a Russian carrier battlegroup.

Not sure if you've included bearing only SSM launches, but if a helo popped up over the horizon, and I detected enemy radar, or inbound missiles, I'd certainly want that option as a desperation move to exact a little retribution.

Of course, smart captains/admirals/helo pilots will anticipate that, and attempt to come in on a different vector than directly from their mother ship, just to make life interesting.
