For those of us who didn't make it this year… what were the highs and lows?

For new things I thought the CMON booth was impressive. They had some gorgeous figures in there painted very well.

I didn't really get out to see many games. There was a pretty fantastic set up of, what I think, was a Napoleonic game set in Spain but I wasn't there when they were playing it to see for sure. It was a great terrain set up.

You also missed the "Great Reaper Tractor Trailer Chase of 2016."

I missed the CMON booth and I was there! Where was it?

Many superb games. League of Augsburg game was stunning, as was the 1812 game with the British debarking from the ship. The Carnage and Glory room had their usual Wow! level of games. Finally, the Hawks room was lively---their city fight game table was fought over by WW2 Germans and Russians, Chechnyians and Russians, and Rebels and Russians (I mean, Imperial Stormtroopers), and at least several more.

The CMON booth made me spend over my buget for this year. Really nice figures.

I was disappointed in the Reaper booth. The lights they had around the stock racks was a bit bright. No special offers that I could see.

For me, the highlight was the awesome Charge of the Light Brigade setup (and game) smack dab in the middle of the exhibit hall. 28mm, Hosted by Mike Fijalka, this was the centerpiece display of the convention. The table was probably 8 feet wide, and 40 feet long, and showed how far the charge got each minute. "C'est magnifique mais c'est pas la guerre!" It was something to see!

Flashman:

If you walk into the dealer hall and make an immediate left and head down the aisle past all the half booths to Harmony House Hobbies then make a right and go down that last aisle, CMON was about half way down.

They were back-to-back with Wargamer USA and opposite the Casemate table.

I was not at Histricon, but I played in that Charge of Light Brigade wargame at previous HMGS convention. It was very well done and I really enjoyed it.
I have not seen a lot of pics of this current Historicon games, hopefully someone will post some soon.
