Recently WR ran a doubleheader Italian countryside themed game day in his warren. One of the scenario and this AAR link report covers the Battle of Voltri April 1796…. days before General Bonaparte's history making campaign start. The other concurrent scenario was Italy 1943 using the Bolt Action rules linked on another TMP post.

For Voltri 1796, the "L" shaped tabletop created the dimensional problem and distance for the Austrians to march, engage, defeat the French, and secure Voltri before nightfall. The French had to pick their fights carefully, delay, and finally prevent the Austrians from entering Voltri, with their weaker forces.

Very nice – I really like the overall style of your games. Somewhat paradoxically, given the lack of complete 5-10mm ranges for the period I sometimes contemplate using your smaller figures counts with 25mm figures.

CTW. Thanks for checking out the game and comments. If in the northern Los Angeles area some day, and I have a scheduled game… All the more welcome to stop in. Contact info on the blog under the "about Wargamerabbit" tab.
