For those interested I've posted up a BatRep using the new "Lost Patrol" rules by "Games Workshop". However rather than use Genestealers and Space Marine Scouts, we've gone "Weird War II" with British soldiers fighting off Nazi Zombies in search of Adolf Hitler's 1946 jungle hideout in Argentina :-)

Hopefully it'll give you an idea as to how the game plays, and certainly comes recommended, as its reasonably quick and certainly simple to play… and rather tense straight from the start.

Cool, fun batrep!! How does it compare to other game systems like All Things Zombie, or NUTS War Without End, SOTR, etc?

Its certainly far simpler, especially combat. Shooting everyone hits on a 6 (with HWeapons simply rolling 2 dice) and h2h simply being a case of rolling to see whether you beat 2(one zed), 4 (two zeds) or 6 (three zeds). There's no fear or anything like that to contend with. Its certainly not a "Zombicide" beater imho. But if you want to get 3-4 games in during a session its great.

Hopefully GW will do some additional rules and tiles etc, as we're certainly planning on including werewolves and vehicles etc, plus interiors and traps.
