Yes, I recall raging against a number of 'Eavy Metal articles when I was working at GW. So many figures of young aspiring Golden Demon winners ruined by following those 'step by (missing) step' guides. I'll try to make sure I fill in the optional extra steps in my next blog tutorial… O_o |

personally every time i read "painting guide"..i think that the author never painted the mini as he describe…at the second "highlight" or "wash" ultra boring and only theorical description i give up |

Terrement- you brought back some horrific memories of my Geometry classes in high school! But those examples you mentioned really happened… |

Terrement – the one I remember is "intuitively obvious to the most casual observer." I have used it at work when commenting on a proposed new requirement or posting, especially when they are pompous and overstated to the point of not making the desired point. The one I loved was a sign saying the floor load limit was 40 pounds per square foot as it failed to mention this was the max load you could have when calculating the maximum weight that could be structurally supported and then averaging that out over the entire floor area. I used to point that out to rather rotund staff members and tell them they weren't permitted to walk on the floor as "it was obvious to the most casual observer" that their weight would be more than 40 pounds per square foot. |
