I have this disease, it's a more agressive from of the classic Wargamer attention deficit disorder. I can litteraly be in the middle of painting some figures, then loose intrest and start on a new or old project dealing with another period. This means not only half done units that rearly gets finished. But litteraly half painted figures that get dusted down. This happend a few months ago, I had finished 12 GNW swedes, and had 9 left. 5 command and 3 pikemen and a grenadier. I was half done with the 3 pikemen and grandier, When the disease hit me. And so they have been collecting dust. But yesterday and today I finished them! This is only the second time this has happend! I'm basing them now! |

Well done in getting to the other side of a project! |

I've found the older I get, the more I can concentrate on a project until done. This doesn't mean that I don't have multiple projects going at the same time, but I tend to get things done more easily than drifting away… Damon. |

With me, always a race to finish projects before they finish with me. Though, to be fair, I do usually go back to them. 20 or 30 years later. |

I have that too! You are not alone! What makes me angry, is that some of the figures are almost finished and I just don't have enough interest to finish them. |

Another sufferer here! Worst example is 2 battalions of 15mm Old Glory SYW Hanoverians which I started 5 years ago, got the uniform block painted, only need to do the weapons and then washes, but cannot motivate myself to finish them. In the meantime, painted complete 10mm armies for WSS, LoA, WW2 Germans, 15mm Grande Armee Napoleonics, 6mm Federals for ACW Fire and Fury and 28mm ECW, but still the Hanoverians languish in a drawer. Part of the problem is that I don't really need them for my regular weekly gaming, as it's not a period/scale that others are particularly interested in, whereas the others get played with frequently |

I have different ongoing 'lifetime-running' projects. So I have many armies in diferent stages of completion. Right these days I'm finishing painting 44 chinese for my chinesse III century B.C. army (more than 700 soldiers in 20mm). I also have Assyrians, Egyptians, Cannanites, Cartaginians, Samnites, Goths, Franks, Sassanians, WWII germans, ACW cavalry… only counting groups with half-painted personnel. Always retaking projects. |

No problem like that. I usually start 30 or 40 figures and finish them in a week. All being 40mm figures. I paint assembly line style and enjoy watching them develop to completion, after which I can throw them into the next game. |

Good on you! I can identify with it having just finished a Bren gun carrier for a Canadian infantry unit I should have done a year ago |

If wargamers did not suffer from short attention spans half the wargame companies would be out of business. Hey, look shiny, must but it! |
