I saw these in the flesh at Bovington a week ago. Very nice models, IMHO.

Maybe it's just me but the NCO's helmet looks perfect, but the riflemen all look like they are wearing a 1960's version?
Otherwise they look great!

In RL the helmet does not look so well defined with the cover on it. The NCO is wearing a net over his. So, you get the 1960s look.

To me they look the part. Like!

wrgmr1,
They are mostly wearing helmet covers,( apart from a couple with chicken wire) the covers soften the helmet outline considerably ( particularly around the 'peak')then add the camo scheme and they do look quite different to the normal German look. I think judging from reference pics that its the correct look but its a matter of personal judgement in the end.

Excellent poses, very real.

Helmets seem odd, though, but I am possibly wrong.

this is what the real thing looks like, top one is Waffen SS version but pretty much the same structure.

Maybe it's just me, but aren't the defining details that make a soldier Panzer Lehr their cuff bands and markings on the epaulets? Not everyone in PL had the double breasted jacket, if that is in fact what these figures have.

historygamer,
As I remember you were part of a discussion concerning the 'special grey uniform' and Lehr not very long ago on here, I thought it was all sorted.
Lehr never received an armband, the'L' cypher on the shoulder boards was authorised and worn but not something one can sculpt in 20mm.
All Pz Grenadiers in half tracks ( and both batts in the Lehr had half tracks)in all units were entitled to wear the grey panzer jacket. In Lehr all members of the unit not entitled to wear the black version were entitled to wear the grey version. And yes the figures are depicted in the grey special jacket.

Of course. Right, no cuff title.

Here is a good thread on this, which indicates you might want to mix uniforms:

historygamer,
Thank you for the link. The point of the range is to do a range in the grey panzer jacket style uniform as there are lots of figures in the 'normal' uniforms already out there.

Larger pix of the minis would be nice!

donlowry,
If you left click and save the pic you can open it in your photo program at 100%, the versions on here are about 40% of the original size.

Any news on the LMG teams?

LeonAdler Sponsoring Member of TMP08 Aug 2016 2:35 a.m. PST

Everything running behind at the moment I'm afraid, distracted by a lot of mail order and design time being eaten by some tight deadline work for a KS a company is running that I didn't know was coming until it did lol.

Ok, any news on these?

Are there going to be firing poses and Panzerfausrs as well? Just wondering if I should start my Rapid Fire Normandt Battlegroups Lehr unit or wait

LeonAdler Sponsoring Member of TMP01 Sep 2016 6:07 a.m. PST

Just lack of time I'm afraid, been busy with lots of other stuff.
The plan ( such as it is lol) for the range is:
Five riflemen and an NCO in 3 poses initially( casual advance, running and firing. Prone and dead packs may be added depending on sales) Two LMG teams of 2 figures each will be done in advancing and prone firing pose. The pack around at the moment is the running pose. This is phase one.
MMG, 81mm motar, a figure with Gwr 43, and another with fitted grenade launcher are thoughts.
Thats the list Im working to at the moment but not entirely sure about the extra LMG team member, might rethink and just distribute the extra ammo amongst the whole squad. Got a couple of bits of reading to do before make final choice.
A sniper ( in Heer pattern smock plus sidekick) Pz shcreck team and not sure what to do about pzfausts at the mo.
After that will see what extras sales make viable.
AT gunners for 75mm being fiddled with at the moment.
Got a heck of a lot of tank/SPG/flak gunners crews to make as well.
Stug LMG gunner ( Shirt sleeve order and panzer jacket )looking good so far.
Hope that makes things clearer.
Some rushed pics of work underway.
