Has anybody here ever used Clifford Simak as inspiration? He wrote three books that had almost the same plot told over and over again (Enchanted Pilgrimage, The Fellowship of the Talisman, Where the Evil Dwells) but were still very entertaining regardless. |

Never used him for wargaming, but if you haven't read Goblin Reservation for entertainment, you've missed out. |

Reading Fellowship of the Talisman now. It's generating some D&D nostalgia for me. Recommend it for mildly gonzo hexcrawl inspiration. |

Oddly enough, for me it was themes from "City" that I wanted to borrow from for post-apoc gaming. |
