A shame for him and his family. Assuming they play the game the way it's done in Mexico, with wounding and bleeding the bull first to weaken it/them, before the fight really begins, I must say that my sympathies really lie with the bull(s). Good to see a bull win a fight for a change. I hope the bull was spared, but suspect it probably was not. |

I don't like fullfights; I think they're cruel. But it's still a shame that someone died. |

I don't much like bullfights ever. And it's not just the bull and matador who gets hurt. There's a video on YouTube that shows a horse who gets completely gutted by a bull and somehow manages to stay on it's feet. |

I don't care for bull fights but I understand it's part of a culture and therefore it is the people of that culture who must address the moral issues. Pain and suffering, of either humans or animals, is not a good thing. There's enough of it in the world imposed voluntarily by nature and happenstance. Purposeful addition to it seems unnecessary. |

According to the media the bull paid for it's misdemeanour by becoming steaks, and as is tradition in Spain if a bull kills a matador they go after the bull's mother and slaughter her too so the bloodline is erased. Some reports say however that the bull's mother died a few days before the 'fight' and cheated the bullet. |

Unlike the Mionians who had youngsters leaping over the bulls as part of their religion. Interesting people, they still sacrificed the bull though. Them southern latin types have some strange ideas about entertainment/religion unlike us conker playing northerners. But still my condolences to tge family.

So do the normal rules apply about the winner getting the ears, nose and tail then? |
