The Samurai castle (your first link) is by Kobblestone Miniatures. He does wonderful stuff. Unfortunately, the Samurai castle was a special display piece that has never been marketed… what a shame. My guess is your other two links are Kobblestone as well. The Kobblestone Miniatures' terrain is not nearly as well known as it deserves to be. The work is beautiful, the prices are reasonable considering what you get and compared with other similar pieces, and the service is outstanding. I used Kobblestone extensively when I put together my Egyptian town. You can see that at link |

I second War in 15mm on the quality of Kobblestone Miniatures terrain. They are fine people to deal with as well. LB |

I have a number of Kobblestone pieces including their new roman fort.(which was in a game at NJCON) They are well made and reasonably priced. The folks at Kobblestone are first rate and have great communication. I just wish they would produce more products. Highly recommended! |

Its absolutely gorgeous work,Tango, but I'm not sure that it resembles a real Japanese castle. What it actually reminds me of is a religious site, with the torii gate at the entrance and then a series of small shrines and temples climbing up a mountainside. I was lucky enough to visit such a site this last spring at Takaosan, just outside of Tokyo. Still, the handicraft is very impressive. |
