I answered the siren song of WW II skirmish gaming by painting up Soviets. Pictures and a description of how the infantry were painted are up on my blog.

Here are a few pics. So far, I run my Soviets with the proficiency of a June 1941 Soviet officer. Here's hoping I improve with practice!

Thanks fellows, I appreciate the feedback! That is a Warlord Games commissioner figure. I cut out the pistol he was holding and put in a SMG. Same for the officer on the left with the heroic pose.
