I had a day out yesterday and visited Timecast in Shrewsbury, whilst there I picked up some more of their 15mm Ottomans for the 7YW era .As there are still no pictures on their site covering this range I have continued with doing my own and they are available as usual on the Devon Wargames Blog for those who are interested.

I mean, last time I checked, it's 2016. Even crappy potato-quality pictures would be good on their website would be good. It's very frustrating and almost makes me hesitant to purchase any of their products.

I have a few thousand of these and like them very much. The Renaissance range of Ottomans is also good and I mix for some variety.

Well, except for here:

Hi Cyrus

You are correct that the Renaissance range does have photos and that the first pictures in this 2nd post are from that range however the bulk of the others and the figures I am buying are in the main from their 7YW era range which unfortunately do not.
My plan is to add in pictures from whatever range/supplier I have bought figures from to assist anyone else that is considering wargaming this era.

I've just been to the OG SYW page and I have to say it's difficult to think of any area of 15mm wargaming that is so poorly served as that of the War of the Austrian Succession and the Seven Years War. Choosing a manufacturer of figures which best portrays the style of the period, the range of types and character of the troops should be easy and enjoyable but frustration often creeps into the process.
Prior to the internet, traders had the competitive need to attend shows and it was possible to see up to six complete ranges of figures, if you could put up with all the pushing and shoving it was possible to make good informed choices.
For those of us lucky enough to attend some of the recent shows, traders in our period are thin on the ground and so we are forced onto the internet to find, with a few notable exceptions, there are no pictures, the pics appear deliberately tiny or obscured, given incorrect captions or totally lacking descriptions. Its difficult to understand the complete inability to show us the goods!
