Hey, I need a good painting guide for 15mm US Army woodland camo in the 80's using Vallejo paints. Flames of War has a guide but it's using their paints which I can't get. |

I would love to see this as well, there is a item on line for it..but it's really for bigger figures and honestly, won't work for 15 and 20mm stuff. |

The Flames of War paints are just relabeled Vallejo, aren't they? Someone must have a "conversion" guide… |

This might be of help. I'm anxious to try it myself, though a 20mm miniature might be used. It's hard to tell from the blog. I'm sure the technique could be adapted though. subheadingfreerangeegg | 07 Jul 2016 12:56 p.m. PST |
I have used the following colours which seem to work; Base coat Vallejo 850 medium olive or 922 US uniform -this seems bright when you apply it but it will dissapear and tone down, and you want to be able to see it at the end. Patches/splodges of 983 flat earth, covering about about 50% of the base coat, and then horizontal blotches of 821 German camo beige covering about 35% of the uniform, finally very small black x or y shapes-no more than about 10%, all the colours can go over any other.Paint the webbing 887 brown violet and equipment(dragons LAWs torches etc) 893 US Dark green. boots weapons and flesh and then a dark wash and a couple of highlights. |
