Hello all

I'm very curious about getting into 10mm wargaming in the Franco-Prussian period and I'm curious about what ranges are good for the period. I've been mostly looking at Pendraken's range but there are no pictures so I'm not sure about the minis.

Could anyone help me by suggesting reviews, photos or opinions on the model range?

Thanks a lot people!

Pendraken figures are good. I have a ton of them. Here are some pics although they are for battle reports so you get a mass view on the tabletop and not many close-ups of the figures themselves.

I don't have Pendraken figures for the FPW but I do have a lot of Great War mideast figures and they are excellent.

As Clibinarium linked above, Javier Gomez has got an outstanding collection. He posted a load of pictures over on our Forum here: link

Hmmmm I need some samples, enough figures for the Union army at Gettysburg would do…. evil grin

Leon is great in giving samples. He did my "1 single figure out of every one of your 19th century codes" sample.

Here are some pictures of some of the codes, though Javier really is the person to look at to see what once can do with these figures

You can see some here

and some show up in my proxy lists

I can say this, the Guard Voltiguers in bonnet de police are superb figurines.

You can't go wrong with Pendraken or Leon for that matter. Years ago our wargaming club wanted to do Russo-Turkish War but no one made figures for it. He was willing to sculpt for us if we did a pre-order to help defray the up-front costs. First class sculpts and company in my book.

@DontFearDareaper – and the RTW Russians are very useful for the RJW

A very accommodating company with some top flight sculptors

They have sculpted 1859 French Guard Grenadiers and Guard Voltigeurs for me

Their 10mm Mongols from their Non-Kickstarter are some of the best I've seen in any scale

Another strong recommendation for Pendrakens figures for this period. I have literally thousands of their 1866 Austrians, 1866-71 Prussians and 1870-71 French. They are beautifully sculpted, full of character with paintable detail, and accuracy goes down to the French Guard Voltigeur and Grenadiers having different shaped cuffs! And they are a superb company with which to do business.
